What is the Pistol Skill Development 2 class?

Pistol Skill Development 2 is a marksmanship class, designed for all skill levels, continues where Pistol Skill Development 1 left off.

Students will learn/refine their draws, understand visual acceptability, learn how to move and shoot, understand front sight focus versus hard target focus, and learn how to shoot accurately at longer ranges.

You will learn a lot and enhance your overall ability to shoot with a pistol.

• Who is this class designed for?

  The class is designed for shooters of all skill levels who want to improve their overall pistol marksmanship skills.

• How much does the class cost?

  • Standard: $250

• What topics are covered?

  • Learn/refine the draw
  • Getting off the “X”
  • Visual acceptability
  • Turning and shooting
  • Moving and shooting
  • Front sight vs. hard target focus
  • Longer range shots, i.e. 25-yards and beyond

• What are the class’s gear requirements?

  • Pistol of your choice. Make sure it is in good, working condition
  • Outside the waistband holster and gun belt
  • At least 3 magazines. (If you are shooting a 1911 platform bring extra magazines so you can shoot 30 rounds per relay, or you can keep ammo in your pocket and reload at the firing line as needed.)
  • Magazine pouches so you can carry at least 2 extra magazines
  • At least 400 rounds of your caliber ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Comfortable shoes. Most of the day we will be on our feet.
  • Sunscreen, portable chair, and a hat (Optional, but we will be spending all day in the sun.)
  • Drinks, snacks and food. We will provide bottled water.

• Can anyone attend the class?

  Students MUST HAVE ATTENDED our Pistol Skill Development 1 class - no exceptions.

  Students must be at least 21 years old, and due to the Department of State ITAR regulations, tactical training is only available to US Citizens/Legal Residents.

• What is your cancellation policy?

  • Full refund: 61 or more days from the class
  • Partial refund: Between 31 and 60 days from the class
  • No refund: Within 30 days of the class
